Johnny Damon

Has Damon been declared healthy again? Does anyone have any info on this guy? He has too much talent to be available at this point in time, but he's available in both my 12 team leagues. I'd like to take a flyer on him, but he had such an undamonlike 1st half mainly due to health issues.

I'm wondering the same thing. I'm considering unloading Teahen for Damon (assuming Damon is regaining his health)

He "seems" to be healthy again. The most promising signs are that he's stealing again and that he's also playing everyday. He played everyday last week except for one, and that one day was so Arod could DH and he came in to PH anyways. He even played a few days in LF which is even more promising. Along with the added rest during the AS break I think if Damon was a FA in any of my leagues I'd def nab him up.

I'd definitely take a shot on him. I grabbed him about 2 weeks ago after his original owner dumped him with the second half specifically in mind. If you can get him for nothing and have room for him it's a no brainer. You know what he is capable of so that alone is worth a shot. He's a no risk, high reward situation guy at this point. How often do you see legitimate high/mid draft pick guys on the wire? ..not too often so take advantage when you can. He is DH'ing less, stealing and finally has consistent time off to recuperate over the break so things are looking up already...

I JUST traded for him. Excited....With his horrible first half, he still has 15 SBs (that's around 12th place or so)...not terrible...

PLUS, he's shedded all that extra "hair weight" with the new crew cut....good for SB speed ;-D

Ha! I've kept Damon on my roster all year and I'm ready for a new, revived Johnny.
