JD Drew or Jermaine Dye? I need a backup RF, who would be the better pick and why? I cant think of any reason to draft one over the other. Both are similar in age, both have a history of injuries. I think Dye has the potential for a lot more power than Drew but I also think Drew may breakout away from the spotlight he played under in St. Louis. But I cant make up my mind!!??

I'd say Drew because he's younger, in a better hitter's ballpark, and a better lineup.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

I'd take J.D. Drew.
Drew would put up some incredible numbers if he ever stayed healthy a full year (like that will ever happen). But since he'd just be your back up i would say grab Drew.
Dye just seems too far removed from his last great season. I don't see him ever getting back to that form.

Yes, Drew. He's a big 5 category guy. If he stayed healthy he'd get you .300-110-35-100-12 easily, and that's probably worth over $30. Dye I don't think can get you over $25. That's just my opinion though.

That's a lot of votes for a guy who's going to play 90 games....

1999 Drew (104) Dye (158)
2000 Drew (135) Dye (157)
2001 Drew (109) Dye (158)
2002 Drew (135) Dye (131)
2003 Drew (100) Dye (65)
With the exception of last year Dye's been the more durable player over the last 5 seasons. And that's three 100 game seasons for Drew out of the last 5.
