From Roto World
Grady Sizemore turned down an invitation to participate in the Home Run Derby.
"It's an honor, but if I said yes, it would be straight panic mode," Sizemore said. "I need at least a week's heads-up to get ready. I need time to work on my swing during batting practice and I'd have to arrange for my pitcher to make the trip with me."

I hope Holliday doesn't get picked. HR derby has a funny way of screwing up a player's swing.

Why do guys like Dunn or Francouer never get picked for these things? I'd love to see some of the homer-or-nothing guys go at it with the well-rounded guys.
My money is on Morneau right now.

Yeah, he seems big enough and strong enough to keep it up through all the rounds.

I dont really think it would be a good idea for those guys to be in it . It won't be nice to see them strikeout in HR derby...

Not sure why you are so excited about this. I'm just hoping this doesn't mess up his swing for the rest of the year i.e. Abreu, Bay, Wright...

Holliday doesn't seem like a guy who would do well in a HR derby. He seems very similar to Bay in my mind, not a HR hitter, but someone who hits homeruns. I wouldn't be surprised to see the old goose egg from him tonight.
I wish him well though
