Is it me or are there an unusual amount of stud hitters who have low homerun totals and high doubles totals?
What's going on?
Manny Ramirez
Albert Pujols
Vladimir Guerrero
David Ortiz
Derrek Lee
Maybe they unjuiced the ball this year.

you think players are hitting less homers because they cut back on amphetamines?

that's ridiculous.

If you say so. And roids had nothing to do with Bonds' career HR totals either. It is all a grand conspiracy. I mean all these sluggers all decided to pick the same year to stop hitting hrs...the first year that a repeat offense on amphetamines (the first offense is kept secret by the way) gets a player into big trouble (all just a coincidence)? If you say so.

go snort a bunch of adderal and see if you can jack a bunch more homers over your fence in your backyard. that would be assuming you could somehow pin amphetamine usage on a bunch of players which you have absolutely no proof of.

I am not going to get into a pointless debate on roids or any other illegal drug and the affects on hitting. You want to believe Bonds or Sosa or whoever are all clean and the drugs had nothing to do with the level of the performance they displayed, be my guest. You want to play lawyer and sit their arguing innocent until proven guilty with a videotape...be my guest. Anyone with some common sense can connect the dots and make reasonable assumptions from the preponderance of the facts and the circumstances.

It is all just speculation - I see nothing wrong with these kinds of theories as we're all just fans talking baseball. If I suspect a player took 'roids or greenies I don't have to prove it, I'm not taking him to court. I never really understood why people get all huffy when you say players might be taking 'roids or greenies - come on folks, we are in the steroid era of major league baseball, that can't be denied. People get so offended when you say Player X might be on the juice as if you're attacking one of their best friends or something.

i never said anything about steroids. i was responding to your ridiculous presumption of amphetamine usage causing a handful of player to hit less homers.
