I didn't know Rose banned himself, looking back when I was younger it looked as if Rose was crying, trying to get into the HoF. What was all the controversy about a few years back?... It shouldn't have even been a topic if he took himself out of the race.

Rose had the opportunity to apply for reinstatement. His crying is because his appeal was and continues to be denied.

Bonds IMO will never get into the HOF as well he shouldnt and I dont believe Rose will ever get in either at least I hope not. So in a perfect world when people travel to Cooperstown NY. to see the HOF inducties each year they will pass the 2 most pathetic figuers in MLB history sitting in a little booth selling autographs thinking to thereselves what if we had of only done it the right way.

Willie Mays red juice booth will be a bigger sell. Say it ain't so. Maybe Aaron can have a pill both. This could be big. I would go for sure now.

It shouldnt be. Taking steroids should be the MAJOR sin.
Pete just has more balls than Bonds and was man enough to admit his mistakes.

Why? You think betting on their own sport is something the pros should be doing, specifically in games involving their own teams? That would be chaos, and I would question the legitimacy of the league itself. I've also tried to understand how what Pete Rose did is generally accepted by baseball fans right now, while PED use (a constant in baseball for 50 years) is hugely frowned upon. Could you explain that to me?
And if PED use ever became a "major sin" in the game, then you'd have to pull a ton of games out of the HOF right now. Do you really want to open that pandora's box?

Yeah, that Pete Rose, he's all guts. What with denying what he did for 15 years, and then changing his story on a book publicity tour to make some money.

If all else fails there is that small detail that Rose was caught and Bonds really hasn't been yet. While anyone with even an ounce of honesty knows Bonds did steroids there still hasn't really been conclusive public proof that he did it.
I thought this was America....... Innocent until proven guilty..... Besides we want to start really digging at people? Let's search Roger Clemens and some other of our favorites. the truth hurts so lets not go there
