He fouled a pitch off his knee I think.

My sister is an RN and tells me a contusion is just a deep bruise. Please, please, please no DL for VMart

yeah i found this on Indians Boards
He'll probably be fine. He fouled a pitch off his knee. He stayed in for an inning or two but Wedgie decided to take him out in the middle of an inning because he looked to be hobbling a bit still.
I think they just didn't want to needlessly stress the knee with him catching, with the kneeling and all. Shoppach catches Byrd all the time so Victor should be able to get an extra day off.
EDIT: Rotoworld is mistaken. It's his knee, not his foot.it looks just a precaution

"It's a little sore but it's nothing to worry about," Martinez said. "I think I'll be able to play (Sunday)."

I'm a V-mart owner, and I wouldn't mind at all if they just rested him tomorrow anyway.

Agreed get him some extra rest and I am already gonna win RBI, runs, HRs, and AVG anyways.

He played 1B today (Sunday). He should be good to go after the All-Star Break...
