Carpenter?

Is he worth dealing for? I need to make up some serious ground on the teams ahead of me. Just trying to get someone cheap but is it worth doing?

Carp was a top 5 SP coming into this year, so if you can get him cheap, then you need to go for it. Problem is that you might have missed the boat since Carp's already pitching in the minor leagues. I got Carp for Kevin Gregg a few weeks ago, but I doubt I could do that now...but you should at least try.

I stashed him 2 weeks ago - I'd grab him if you got room - and you should make room - this is a top ace and I doubt (unless your league is really shallow) that you could get anyone better on waivers this late in the season that could make a difference for the playoffs run.

Nope it's a 14 team points league. His staring SS is Uribe %-6 and was hoping to give him an upgrade @ SS and a P.

If I had Carp, I'd be looking for a top top 3 SS

I have Carpenter and I wouldn't deal him for anything less than a top 5 SS and a P in return. HOWEVER, due to his awful last rehab outing, you might be able to get him a little cheaper. He's a great pitcher and STL is scoring some runs.

I hope with another terrible rehab start he might budge.
