Yahoo nearly get rid of dress-up man - is there a way to ban

Can you put your picture for your team yet? You can put it in the tiny little square - that's a good start . And how do I kill dress-up man? I can't find where to get rid of him.

yeah, ive been wanting Yahoo to let you put up a team logo for YEARS. We're getting damn close. If we can put photos in out posts next, I will stick with Yahoo over ESPN for Football this year. The pictures just make it so much funnier all year.

If you don't like your avatar (and a lot of people do, actually...), I can't think of anywhere you need to use it, with the possible exception of the card on your fantasy profile. Where is it you want to "ban" your avatar and can't?

Message heard. Not as simple as you'd think, if we also want to make sure the site doesn't end up bombarded with spam, abuse, porn, hacks to steal your login, etc. etc. We tend to care about things like that But we do know you'd like this, and we're always working on ways to get you what you want. Hopefully someday...

I'm really pleased to read the response here. Personally, I was viewing this feature as more addition by subtraction; the biggest value for me is it further protects your privacy by giving you more control over when, where, and how you choose to expose your Yahoo ID. The fact that people are enjoying the exposure of your Yahoo identity makes it that much the better.

I've uploaded backgrounds to my Yahoo profile, but can't get the little guy out of the way of these. If there was a way to make him invisible so we could show the background more, I think that's what they're asking.

This way when your profile shows up on your team page it could be of something other than the little guy's face.

But I do understand the problems with the pictures. I'm in one league this year on a different server and I've had to restrict pictures because one of them was not appropriate for me to pull up, especially at work.

I think part of the confusion is coming from the word 'profile', which can mean a lot of things. Your Yahoo profile could mean your profiles.yahoo.com profile (which sends you to 360 if you use it):

It could also mean your fantasy sports profile:

But I don't think you mean either. I think you are talking about the logo on your team page? Or perhaps your avatar on the whole, not just the dude in the avatar?

^^^yeah, what im talking about is to use the mini picture that we were just able to upload yesterday on our team page. Where you can select to use all those different color jerseys, hats or the face on the "Edit Team Info" tab. It would be cool if we could put that picture there as well. Like an Avatar we upload for our team.

Yes, sorry. For Yahoo ID, I did mean fantasy ID that can be used for the team logo. It would be neat to "hide" the little guy so you could see the background. For instance in the background of my Yahoo ID, I have a picture of chewbacca pitching since I am the fighting chewbaccas. But when I upload the pic the guy is standing closely in front of chewbacca, making it something my league mates would have a field day with. If there was anyway to get rid of the guy then chewbacca pitching would be my team logo. That would be cool and I'm convinced would make me win my league.

Then again I do understand if there's some hesitation because of porn pics or other pics that Yahoo doesn't approve of.

Sorry Genie my first post was a bit vague. I am meaning my team logo. I just figured out how to remove dress-up man from being my team logo (thank you to that poster), and I was wondering if we were going to be able to put any picture we like as our team logos.

you can upload any picture into that little square...a lot of things aren't easy to make out in that small area though
