ya he is a slepper.
Is it me or are this year's Padrs looking like lsat year's Marlins.
Peavy
Lawrence
Eaton
A trio of very young and talented SP's who should all improve this year.
David Wells is a great pickup for a team like SD.
The offense looks stacked.
Hoffman is back and Beck will set up.
Ok just bare with me but if the Padres sign Maddux they would have a rotation of Maddux, Wells, Peavy, Eaton, and Lawrence/stacked offense/stud closer.
If the SD trio improves like they are supposed too, the Padres may surprise everyone!

I think Lawrence is a good pick but I also like Armas in that spot. He looked really good at the beginning of last year. I know he's coming back from injury but I still think he's a good sleeper. Speaking on Maddux, what is the latest for where he's going?
