Neshek:
41.1 IP: 3 W, 0 S, 51 K, 1.74 ERA, 0.73 WHIP

I have both on my team and so I like them equally.

BUT Okajima's peripherals are downright filthy, so I can see why he gets the nod. Neshek will K more batters but Okajima is in line for more save opportunities - all in all, it doesn't really matter because they're the two best mid-relievers in baseball right now so if you have one, smile.

What was really odd to me is that Larussa selected Oswalt to go when Smoltz bowed out. Maybe he thought that Young would win the fan vote anyways, but looking at Oswalt's numbers this year, I dont know that he's been all that great really - not even as good as Webb or Zambrano. I was kind of hoping Fuentes would be a man and bow out too since he's not even closing for his own team right now, letting another one of these good starters to get in.

LaRussa didn't choose Oswalt to replace Smoltz. Oswalt had the next most votes by the players, therefore he took over the spot.
