Roy Halladay didn't want to go so I didn't vote for him. My votes would have made up that difference, there is no doubt.
I think Chris Young was definitely deserving of going, so good for him. Okajima...I'm not sure. Neshek arguably had better numbers, and Bonderman/Escobar are having great seasons. But Okajima did have 2 "nations" supporting him to get there, so it wasn't surprising to see the result there.
Chris Young of the Padres and Hideki Okajima of the Red Sox are your selections in the sixth annual Monster All-Star Final Vote… ... The 6-foot-10 right-hander broke Nomar Garciaparra’s 2006 Final Vote record with more than 4.5 million votes and finished ahead of Carlos Zambrano of the Cubs, Roy Oswalt of the Astros, Brandon Webb of the Diamondbacks and Tom Gorzelanny of the Pirates. ... Okajima finished with more than 4.4 million votes to close this one out ahead of Jeremy Bonderman of the Tigers, Pat Neshek of the Twins, Kelvim Escobar of the Angels and Roy Halladay of the Blue Jays.

Neshek had better numbers? I know he had 12 more K's but what else?

I'm not sure how someone could vote for Zambrano over Chris Young and look in the mirror while still considering himself a baseball fan. Thank God he didn't get Hafnered.
Honestly I was more bothered that Larussa didnt pick Young in the 1st place. Arguably the 4th best pitcher the 1st half of the season in all of baseball has to resort to a fan vote to get in. Ridiculous

LaRussa has very little say in the matter. Years ago maybe, but now players are voted in mostly by other players.

I believe I said arguably. But last I checked, I think it was Neshek who had a better WHIP.
