Your thoughts?

For those of you that have been waiting, this may the time for Garza. He looked nasty the other night against the Yankees.

The Twins sent right-hander Kevin Slowey to Triple-A Rochester on Thursday after a rough outing in Minnesota’s 7-6 loss to the New York Yankees. Slowey gave up five runs in 3 2-3 innings.

He made his major league debut June 1 against Oakland and was 3-0 with a 5.84 ERA in seven starts for Minnesota.

Carmen Cali, a left-hander, was called up from Rochester to replace Slowey on the major league roster.

In the postgame wrap here in Minnesota Roy Smalley assumed it was to give him work during a long break where they won't need a 5th pitcher for awhile. They were pretty sure he'd be back up.

If Garza pitches well in this start against the Sox, it's likely he could stay up for a little while. Slowey was overmatched in his last few starts and appears to need some fine tuning. If Garza's sharp I'd guess he'd take Slowey's spot in the rotation.

6 shutout innings is pretty good for Garza. Too bad I got impatient and dropped him. :,-(
