Would anyone touch Teixeira?

Postby RynMan » Wed Feb 04, 2004 11:42 pm

Would anyone consider mark teixeira as their 3rd basemen. i dont see anyone in my league even remotely touching him, and i think i could probly get every other position before this guy would get drafted, would anyone be happy having this guy as their 3rd basemen? Im thinking he will do very well this year.....?

I was disapointed in his rookie year....He has a really big swing, and the eye might not be there yet........

.....Further improvement is expected..

As for your question...He,. should increase his power numbers and you could be looking at Troy Glaus numbers...

I'd take him in a heartbeat. He hit 3 less homers than Blalock. Remember Blalock's rookie season...he sucked! Just think of what Teixeira could do this year if he did that well last year.

id love to have him as my 3B, he would be a top 5 fantasy 3B, but i dont think that he will qualify there in many leagues, i think he only had like 15 games there, so in a lot of leagues he wont qualify, and if he does qualify, he also qualifies as an OF and a 1B so he is solid as a reserve for those positions or a late pick there.
Reyes and guerrero, the two most blessed players in the league, not to mention the most fun to watch
