Randy Wolf is expected to go on the disabled list after complaining of shoulder soreness following his start Tuesday.

This doesn't come as much of a surprise with the way he's performed lately. D.J. Houlton is likely to start in his place Tuesday.

Sandman, thanks for the quick post. At least there's a reason. I'm not surprised. Between Wolf, Bush, and Arroyo, the back end of my rotation has killed me.

main problem with wolf(outside of the shoulder problems i jus heard about in the post above) is that in his last few starts he hasnt been able to throw that great curve he has for strikes.

hes got that barry zito like slow looping curve, which in the beginning of the season he was able to throw for strikes and pretty much why he was so successful. now that he jus cant throw it for strikes, guys can jus sit back and wait for his 88 mph fastball which he has to throw right down the middle cause hes always behind in the count.

That's what I did too. Hopefully Francis can be solid the rest of the way otherwise my pitching rotation is shot.

Jul 6 Updating an ongoing story, Ken Gurnick, of Dodgers.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Dodgers SP Randy Wolf (shoulder) has a minor impingement in his left shoulder which required a cortisone injection. The club is optimistic that he will only need to miss the mandatory 15 days on the disabled list. "The key is the rotator cuff and labrum are fine," said trainer Stan Conte. "He should respond to the injection. He'll start exercises in the next couple days, but we'll take it conservative and make it right. The 19th is not unreasonable to reach, but we're not playing the calendar."
