can you pick up a player on the currently on the dL and stash him on your fantasy dL spot without dropping a player in the process?

Assuming that you are playing in Yahoo, the answer is no. You need to drop a player from your active roster first (including bench players). I am not sure of ESPN and CBS leagues but I would assume that the rules are the same.

If there is a player, I really want that is on the DL, I will usually drop a player, pick that player up, put him on the DL and then pick up another player from the FA. So, next time you pick someone up, just pick up the DL player first, put him on your DL and then go pick up your guy.

yeah i hate this rule. its rediculous. if im alowed to stash a dl player then let me stash him. why cost me dropping someone for an inactive player. never made sense to me

You should allways have a player in your DL slot. (Yahoo) So if your slot is empty, next time you are making a pick-up, pick-up a someone for your DL slot first.
