Too many of these statistics are having trouble parsing pitching style from luck, so a really good addition to the analysis would be change in (statistic) from career average.

Not a good sign that Oswalt is one of the luckiest pitchers with the ordinary numbers he has put up so far.
Scott Olsen is a decent waiver wire option for the remainder of the season. Dave Bush also.

I think Shaun Marcum just missed qualifying for this list, but he's definitely been lucky with his 2.86 ERA.
He has an 88.3 LOB% at the moment. I'm pretty sure that's the highest rate for any starting pitcher in baseball. Expect his numbers to regress.

I'll take my chances with saying Johan Santana is not the luckiest pitcher in baseball =).
I agree it should be done with their career numbers instead of major league averages...because some guys like Dice-K for example pitch poorly from the stretch....whereas others may pitch better.
