Anyone still hanging onto Weeks? I haven't seen him play but his numbers are terrible.

I'm only hanging onto him in one of my leagues...14 teamer that starts 1B, 2B, 3B, CI, MI, SS, 5 OF, and a UTIL with 2 BN...i.e. fairly deep league with garbage for hitters on the WW...which is what Weeks basically is, but at least he has potential...or at least I hope he still does for this year.

I still have him. I was too late to grab Lugo off the wire and in a 16 teamer, 2B is thin on the ground to say the least. I'm not sure I want to outright drop him but I've been considering fielding a team with no 2B as he does nothing but drag BA down and he isn't contributing any quantity stats.

I just dropped him and picked up another underperformer in Furcal. At least Furcal is showing signs of bouncing back.

I'm giving serious thought to dropping Weeks for Eric Chavez, then moving BJ Upton from 3B to 2B. What do you guys think...? :-?

i'll say it: i think weeks is a great pick-up or buy-low right now. there's no way the brewers continue to rely on graffy, and weeks will get healthier with this time off. his eye isn't suffering--he has walked in 5 of his last 10 plate appearances! as a matter of fact, he has 3 hits in that same span.

he's not lighting it up, and he's not starting every day, but i see where yost is going with this--and it's not shutting down rickie weeks. he'll be back in a couple weeks, healthy and productive.

i'm just saying.

yeah, yes...
