Curse Of The Non Save Opp

Postby rippz » Mon Jul 02, 2007 10:56 pm

I swear that all closers who go in without the chance of a save get blown away. Does anyone else notice this happens alot more than it should?

Yes it happens all the time, and I cringe when I see my guy go in, because most of the time, he can do more damage than good!!

Agreed, I hate it. Just last night, Wheeler and Reyes got bombed in non-save situations and ruined two great starts from Carmona and the Rocket. :-P

Exactly.....especially with Reyes, who they were trying to "monitor the workload" with, all year. There is no good reason to use them then, they don't get as "psyched" for those outings, and it usually results in something bad happening.

Yeah I do not understand why Maddon keeps using Reyes in situations like this given that they really need him to save the few W chances they get.
