LaRussa screwed Maine. Maine is the type of guy who relies on the manager since he'll never get the fan vote. I realize the Mets had three others so that's probably why he was overlooked but it's not really fair to a young guy that really deserved it (IMHO at least). However, I am also OK with it since having a pitcher in the AS game is always a little nerve-wracking.

Did anyone see them fighting over Reyes on BT? Classic... :-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I thought the players selected the reserves now? Or at least some of them? I know during the M's game they said Putz got selected by the players... If that's the case, then the rest of the league screwed Maine. :-D

(Plus the fans don't vote for pitchers at all except for the online thing.)

How did Chris Young not make the team? Hopefully he gets voted in.

Also, the one-player-from-every-team rule needs to go. One guaranteed player from the host team would be okay, but not one from every team.

Lol. Chris Young, whose numbers dwarf Maine, is in the same situation.

Yeah....did you hear Kruck rip on Steve Phillips.

He said something to the effect of, "that's why you're a GM and sitting here with us."

:-D :-D

I don't think they like that guy very much.

The worst guy ever put on TV has to be Orestes Destrade. Down right awful.

As far as snubs, I see Rollins, Hanley, Dunn, and Byrnes that got screwed... Who else?

That sounds uncomfortable... %-6

Is that the case? I didn't realize. And to be frank, I don't care. I'll still blame it on Larussa. He's like the rain. :^ :-D

East Coast, Dave. Stay focused. ;-)

Edit: And 'dwarf' is just a tad bit of an exaggeration.
