Does anyone have an theories on who'll be the closer now? Will they use Embree still after his blowup (he hasn't pitched since the 26th) or move Casilla in?

Correction: Embree pitched 1 inning Sunday @NYY in a non-save situation.

Via Sportsline:
A's RP Alan Embree will stay in the closer's role despite allowing five ninth-inning runs in Tuesday night's 8-5 loss at Cleveland. "He's done a great job," manager Bob Geren said Wednesday. "He will continue to get the ball in the ninth inning." Embree, who has converted eight of 10 save chances, pitched Monday and Tuesday, throwing a total of 46 pitches.(Updated 06/27/2007).

He should keep the job until Street gets back.
