Expert dynasty leagues seeking owners

Postby arneolson » Wed Feb 04, 2004 11:06 am

Now in its 6th year, mendozabaseball.com is the most realistic franchise ownership simulation on the internet. We feature long-term contracts signed in an e-Bay style auction, a developmental list for stashing away prospects, and an economic structure that provides appropriate rewards to the George Steinbrenners, and Peter Angeloses, and Billy Beanes.

On the field, our game is informed by the latest sabermetric research. Team runs scored are calculated from all countable batter events using Jim Furtado's Extrapolated Runs formula. Team runs allowed are based on pitcher runs allowed and innings pitched. We tie it all together with a W-L record based on Bill James' Pythagorean theorem.

There are currently two leagues looking for franchise owners, an NL-only and an AL-only league. These are expert leagues that are not for the faint of heart. If you've been successful at standard fantasy baseball and are looking for a new challenge, check us out at:

Down to 2 teams left in our NL-only league, and 5 in our AL-only league. Both leagues have many owners returning, and are looking to round out with experienced owners who are in it for the long haul. Please give us a look at:

We have filled our four existing leagues, and with six people on our wait list, are thinking of starting a fifth league. Visit the site and add your name to our wait list if you're interested in the ultimate realistic fantasy baseball challenge.

New Leagues!

Postby arneolson » Wed Feb 25, 2004 1:13 am

Due to popular demand, two new leagues have opened up at mendozabaseball.com. Come on down for a chance to be an inaugural owner of the Frankie Frisch or Denny Doyle leagues. http://www.mendozabaseball.com

Frankie Frisch League now full with 13 owners, but no one wants to be the first to sign up for the Denny Doyle League. It's a 12-team, AL only league starting from scratch. This league will fill up fast once a few names get on the board. This is your chance to get in on the ground floor and get some experience with the uniquely rewarding Mendoza format.

Bumping this to the top. Owners are beginning to trickle in for the Denny Doyle League. Give us a try!

Now have three owners signed up for the Denny Doyle League. Need 5-6 more for a viable league, can accommodate up to 9 more (12 total).

This concept is good.

It gets you out of the mind set of tradional roto. I'm registered in the new league.

It's a great concept -- I'm in, and expect to learn a lot.
