He is back to his old self and looks a lot better at the plate.
His stride at the plate is a lot better and his power in his legs are back
Monster second half coming!!!!
I think it's way to early to draw this conclusion. Two 2 homer games vs Phillies starting pitching these days, especially in Philly isn't exactly buzzworthy. The Phillies pitching is only slightly better then AA pitching right now. He hit 2 off Hamels, who for the most part hasn't pitched like an ace or even a number 1 starter during the last 2 months and he has been especially giving in the longball department during June. Then on saturday Beltran hit one off a pitcher that had no business pitching in a major league game and another off one of the poorer bullpens in the league. Beltran took advantage of one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball in an extreme hitters park. To say it's premature to say he's back is an understatement. If the Mets had been playing the Padres or Brewers then I think you could get excited.
