The Red Sox have reportedly called up Jacoby Ellsbury and placed Joel Pineiro on the disabled list.
We suppose this says something regarding how the team feels about Wily Mo Pena in center field. Ellsbury will start in place of Coco Crisp and bat ninth tonight. He's only going to have value in AL-only leagues if Crisp lands on the DL with his thumb injury.

Does he hold any value for mixed leagues? Im definitely looking at him for my AL keeper.

I grabbed him in my mixed keeper league, but we'll have to wait and see what the pln is. they might give him the job if he can come in and hold his own and trade crisp. or they could trade him who knows at this point.

The plan at this point seems to be to make Ellsbury the fulltime centerfielder next season.

Another Juan Pierre with a little less speed but will get more Runs in a better lineup.

I really don't love this guy and don't want him on any of my teams right now but I'm concerned why he hasn't been added yet.

Well, hes no longer on the team right now. They sent him back down to the minors, which kind of sucks, cause he was doing so great... Francona was saying that he would be better off playing full time for the Pawsox than playing part time for the Red Sox.

If this guy is going to be the CFer next year, I'm excited for that. This kid is great. In fact, I'm going to try and catch a few Pawsox games at McCoy so I can get to see this kid play.

I know he's back down in the minors and actually on the MiLB DL right now but why hasn't he been added to yahoo leagues? He played enough in the MLB to qualify for an addition.
