Everybody is entitled to a bad week... but DAMN... this has been a really bad week!! He's been absolutely killing me. Hopefully he shakes it off quick, and it doesn't end up being a psychological thing.

You're all wrong. Fuentes had dinner with Todd Jones last thursday. Apparently they had a long talk on what it means to be a closer. As Jones is by far the more senior Veteran Fuentes did most of the listening. He was overhead telling another Rockies reliever prior to game time last friday "I learned a lot from Jones and hope it shows on the field."

i already lead the league in blown saves by about 15 before i picked up fuentes.. my save rate right now is around 65%.

The Denver Post is reporting that Fuentes has been temporarily removed from the closer role by manager Clint Hurdle.
