Tiki Redman J. Hairston B. Roberts Figgins Reed Johnson?
The O's have four people that could all steal 30-40 if they got enough AB's but Roberts, Hairston, Mora and... i cant remember the other guy. But anyway, with all the off season signings, i dont see anyone but Hairston getting enough AB's to get forty, and i am sure he will do it. But i dont know if he is really a sleeper for forty, alot of people think he will get that many
Ramon Nivar could be a very nice source of steals if he lands the center field job in Texas during spring training. Let him sleep quietly though.

jose reyes and jerry hairston are two of the best names mentioned. hairston stays healthy and he will do it because leo mazzilli, the new coach in baltimore, loves agressive baserunning as he was a former 1b coach for the yanks. and although many might expect 40 from him he will go late because he missed so many games with that injury and his value is in te steals. he is going to be a nice grab in the draft where you can get him...i would say 8th round, if he steals 40.
reyes is a great basestealer and is going to lead off for the mets this season. he can also hit well which he showed in his debut last year, so i like him a lot and is definitely capable of reaching 40 and also providing good numbers in eveything but rbi for a 2b, i can see him reaching the teens in hr's which is fine and dandy for the position and for a guy with that kind of steal and run scoring potential.

Would that bump Nix to the bench, or would they still find a spot for him? I have him as a potential starter in an 18 team keeper league and I don't want him to lose a bunch of AB's

Everyone is offering the same retreads. The only name that is new with 40 plus potential that I have read about is Reyes on the Mets. No one mentioned Baldelli on Tampa
Having said tha, there will be a rookie who will stael 35-40. pay attention to the spring training lineups by the 2nd week of March
The guy who is likely to steal 40 who will go very late in the draft or for very little money is Figgins. His stunt of not playing winter ball put him in the dog-house with the Angels. He is also going to be trying to find playing time in a very good OF. They used him some at 2B last year and may again this season. He easily has the speed to do the job, but you have to wonder if he is smart enough to do it!
