Currently sitting in 9th, winning 6-4 right now this week, but obviously that could change alot either way. This has been one of the most frustrating fantasy seasons ever for me, and I'm embarrassed to be doing as poorly as I am. What does this team need to do to have any shot of contending for a playoff spot?
With Hernandez, Teixeira, Weeks, and Matsui all sustaining or having sustained injuries this year, I can see your frustration. You should have a nice second half though IMO. I am not wild about Julio Lugo, so maybe you could move him for a more productive guy at util? Then again, he is speedy, so ignore that if his speed is fueling your category right now. I really think you will have a productive squad when Teixeira returns. If you are really hurting for SP, maybe you could deal Papi, Weeks and Bonser for a Lackey, Brian Roberts, Berkman kind of deal ... you know, to buy low on Lance, up the SP and snag a 2B who is less injury prone. Just an idea anyway.
BTW, if you can, shoot me a message with your thoughts on whether Gallardo is worth hanging onto in non-keeper in the off-chance he returns to the rotation....
It looks like you had a good draft but some things beyond your control have had a bearing on your season. Injuries and underachievement...Tex and Weeks especially because when he was out Hart and Braun took over the upper half of the order. Bill Hall has nothing resembled what he was last year. Halladay is still good but doesnt seem to be the dominant pitcher of the last 10 years. Garrett Atkins has just recently come around after a dismal 1st two months. I would possibly look to do a few minor tweaks using the waiver wire and hope for a big second half from some of the players who have been underachieving.
