As a brewers fan, I used to need my alcohol to make it through the games...
But seriously, there is so much drinking in the parking lots that stopping the sale at games will just lead to increased binge drinking at tailgates, which is much more of a health risk.
I would love to see athletes kick the crap out of all the fans that go on the field, there hasn't even been criticism of a footballer laying out some drunk fool that runs on the field. It usually gets a standing ovation from the crowd.

As a Brewers fan you are required to have a beer when you get your ticket scanned...

Maybe it's like that for some people, but most of the drunks I see, were not drunk from the start. They get up every inning and come back with 2 beers each time and then they start to become obnoxious around the 5th, 6th, or 7th innings.
Really? Not challenging you but that has not been my experience. That would be dang near $50.
Maybe it's just a Boston thing because that's definitely how I see it happen at Fenway, but everyone else says differently.

Boston fans needed to be drunk to watch them play for a long long time.
