the players union will never accept the pay cuts that would be required from the loss of revenue.

And how to you expect to stop me from bringing in a flask of Jameson to put in my Pepsi?

i have a better idea, lets make a rule based on the actions of one person out of 40,000*70 games. That way we can prevent the actions of 0.00003571429% of the attendees while big-brothering the 1-n of that number. Sounds like a plan.

They should ban you from the ballpark for even asking such a question. :D

If they replaced beer with weed they could make just as much money and keep the crowd more tame

Word, I like your thought process here. But no need to burn J's in the stadium; that's what parking lots are for. :*) After some parking lot time and the walk up to the stadium, I need an ice cold Miller Lite to quench my thirst.

Do you actually think before you type? Is this suggestion really serious? Place yourself in the perspective of the business. I am willing to bet that a substantial amount of revenue is generated through concession sales from the grossly inflated beer prices.

If this policy was instated than in order to make up for the lost revenue ticket prices would be inflated resulting in both drinkers and non drinkers alike footing the difference in lost revenues.

Aside from depleted revenue resulting from your proposed policy, do you adamantly believe that this one beer maximum will keep the drunks away from the baseball games? C'mon man. As was stated before most drinking is done before fans enter the stadiums. Beer is merely purchased to maintain your current buzz.

From as far back as I can remember, attending a baseball game has always been synonymous with hot dogs and booze! Learn to deal with it or don't attend the games.

Signed,

An Angry Drunk ;D

They should have doctors walking around handing out prescriptions. Set up pharmacies inside the stadium so people can be on drugs during the game. That would work nicely.

I think that if players were allowed to defend themselves with bats or in any other manner they saw fit, idiots might think twice about taking the plunge over the wall?
