I like Brignac's upside a lot more than I like Cabrera's. The potential for Brignac starting for the Rays next year is greater than Cabrera unseating Peralta. Cabrera is a nice surprise story though, especially since he was acquired for Perez last year.
Brignac is also 21, he's a few months younger than Cabrera. He's obviously struggling right now, but I am confident that he will find his grove soon. It is a trade I would definitely think about doing. Especially if you're making the deal for someone that will help you sooner rather than later.
I don't like Clippard, even though he's pretty much a throw in. But it sounds like a solid deal for you if the owner is willing to do it. Because you're basically trading a young ss prospect who may have finally put it together for a guy who has shown that he can be a stud prospect but it struggling at the moment.
