just doesn't have a good sinker and throwing it messes him up. Yea, his 4 seamer might not have quite the giddyup for pitching up in the zone, but it's no finesse pitch either, and in the minors without the micromanaging does well.
starts here and there show what he can do, plus pitching gem under WS pressure.
the micromanaging, poor defense, bad luck, and poor run support a clue that new org would help.

http://www.vivaelbirdos.com (they are a Cards blog and have been charting pitches for each starter) looked at this and Reyes only had like one fastball (or was it ball) up in the zone that was even hit. It was rediculous...
