Where has he been lately. I know he's pretty streaky, but geez. His numbers have been very pedestrian. This is the first year I have owned him and at this point I think I may have overpaid on draft day. .270 BA, 12 HR, 1 SB, 48 RBI, 41 R. Should I be worried or do you guys believe he'll have a monstrous 2nd half? Thoughts?
Postby Neato Torpedo » Thu May 05, 2011 4:19 pm Only 3 HR and a .143 ISO from a first baseman in 118 AAA PA so far? Nice AVG but he's looking an awful lot like James Loney right now.

The numbers aren't soo bad, he'll still finish probably on .290 30/100/100. I own him in one league too, and I'm a little dissapointed but his run production is nothing to get suicidal about. He doesn't steal anymore, I'm afraid. That's been evident for 12 months now.
Decent numbers but probably not worth more than a 4th rounder next year.

i have owned him for the past couple years in a keeper league (though i did pawn him for a slumping Dave Wright earlier ) and he is one of those players that can go cold for a good month then all the sudden break out and for 10 games go 4/5 with a HR. He will eventually get hot, before cooling off again, just gotta ride out the poor performance right now. He is probably better then anything you have on the WW.

One word: Pittsburgh.
This may be the case. Even though they added a few hackers like Nady and LaRoche, he's probably tired of carrying the team on his back. Also, Pittsburgh is a black hole for ball players. Ask Jason Schmidt, Aramis Ramirez, Oliver Perez.....dare I say Derek Bell?
I've started to be concerned myself. I've always been a fan, but now, without the stolen base potential, he seems to become very Jose Guillen esque to me.
