coming off dL tomorrow? is this a wait and see situation, or worth a look at all?

A.J. Burnett: (Shoulder) Cleared to Start on Thursday

Update: Burnett (shoulder) was officially cleared to start on Thursday following his bullpen session on Monday, the team's web site reports.

Recommendation: Burnett will likely be limited to around 100 pitches for his first start back from the DL, but should be fine to use otherwise.

------------------------------------------------------
He's on my waiver wire, I'm gonna see if I can squeeze him onto my roster for his start vs Min tomorrow. Good luck.

12-team mixed, non-keeper, 5x5, 1250 IP max, daily lineup changes. My team:
SP - Dice-K, Lackey, Harang, Bedard, J. Shields, Gallardo
RP - C. Ray, Al Reyes, Capps
C - B. Molina
1B - Konerko
2B - Figgins
3B - D. Wright
SS - B. Harris
OF - Crawford, V. Wells, H. Matsui
Util - Dunn
BN - Delgado, Dye, Tejada
DL - B. Myers

Depends on how deep your league is. My opinion he is overpayed, $55m and overhyped, everyone remembers the one great game in his career. Fact is he has never won more than 12 games in a season and is injury prone.

It'll be interesting to see how he does. He sure didn't do very well yesterday, although at least he didn't walk anybody. I just aquired him for Ty Wiggington so I'll be watching very closely.

If you've got a couple of guys on your team that win a lot but don't K a lot of guys, Burnett is a decent option. He's not a 1st or 2nd starter, but a very good source of K's (league leader before his injury)
