Happ's numbers are good? Certainly not this year. A hit per inning pitched, a BB/K ratio of 1.5, and an ERA of 4 make me think, ugh....

From his numbers he seems to have good stuff but is pretty wild. I happenedto go to a game he started in AA Reading last year and he pitched very well for 6 innings, tiring in the 7th and blowing the game by walking 3 batters and hitting a guy in the same inning....

Overall, if I'm a Phils fan, i'm scared right now....

Happ just came off a DL stint not too long ago and I think I read his first start back at AAA was a disaster. I don't think the phillies have any minor league SPs that are ready to step up and help at the major league level unless the Phillies average at least 6 runs a game in their starts. Kendrick may be undefeated but his numbers really aren't very good. At this point I see the Phillies as a clone of the Texas Rangers teams that made the playoffs several years ago. The didn't have good pitching but got to the playoffs by out-slugging other teams. As for Happ, probably the best to expect that he'll give the phillies a chance to win if they score 5 or 6 runs a game when he pitches.
