You have plenty of speed, so no he is not needed, esp. since he's a 1-category player.

However, I wouldn't drop him outright. Pierre has value to somebody and people who can steal lots of bases are always in some demand, so I would shop him for an upgrade at closer, as I don't think C Cordero & Gregg are gonna get it done for you.

Also I would add Alex Gordon. He is just startin to roll, and now that he has his buddy Billy Butler in the line-up with him, they're gonna have a friendly competition that should result in offensive fireworks for both players' fantasy owners.

FYI - Pierre just stole 2 bases a few minutes ago (25,26).

I was half-thinking about dropping Pierre in my 10-team mixed non-keeper league for Corey Hart this morning. But I kept thinking that Hart can't keep up this pace, and that Pierre is usually a 2nd-half player, and that I need runs and SBs more than HRs, RBIs, and Avg. So I didn't, and now someone else has (finally) grabbed Hart off our waiver wire. I may regret not taking the chance.

At least the two stolen bases is a sign of life from pierre. I picked him up off the WW knowing he's just a one catagory guy but ... he's leading my team in that category. He's doing just what i want i dont think i can complain.. his BA isn't ridiculous bad just an empty average
