Embree has converted 8 saves and blown only 2. He is not a great closer and doesn't have a long leash, but it will take more than two blown saves for him to lose his job, especially since the A's don't have a better option until Street or Dusch comes back.

Wheeler is more likely to lose his job than Embree, I think, in large part because the Astros have a decent option in Qualls.

For those you who think Embree is next, who's going to replace him? Duke and Street are still on the DL and I seriously doubt they'd pull a Charlie and use Harden as the closer. I mean can you really see Harden pitching back to back days or 3 days in a row to close games? So does that leave any reliable alternatives to Embree?

Thats who I am assuming he would get pulled for. Dude has been pretty nasty so far this year too.
