I think next year Rowands gone and bourn takes over CF. Burrell has another year left on his contract and a no trade clause. Hopefully he rots on the bench.
Honestly, I think it's the other way around. I think Bourn will go back to being defensive replacemet/pinch-runner in about a week once he cools down...

so he's most likely to start this week? i desperately need SBs this week, against a freaky running team.
Burrell has been benched in 9 of the past 13 games. Only pinch hitting in most. Werth is on the DL so the outfielders out there are Dobbs and Bourn. Bourn made 3 fantastic catches yesterday which will get him more playing time. It's his time in Philly and this isnt just him being hot. He can steal whenever he gets on base. He walks a good amount for a player with limited time. He came really close to his 1st homer last night
Bourn is definitely on my radar as a cheap source of steals going unnoticed in a lot of leagues right now. I think if he keeps playing regularly, he and Victorino could follow a pattern similar to Willits/Figgins in Los Angeles. Not to say that either is on the level of Figgins as a base-stealer, but they could be at some point ... plus a lot of managers like having those two kinds of table-setters at the top of a line-up. (Not sure about Manuel though 'cause he seems a little unusual).
Looks like Bourn is hitting .222 vs. lefties this year but it's a very small sample size (2-for-9). It looked like one knock on him outside of his obvious lack of power was that he strikes out a lot, but his BA was in the .270 - .280 zone in the minors. It looks like he could also learn how to walk more, but he had two in a game recently so that's encouraging.
On the Phillies' board they're talking about how he's been making spectacular catches in the field so this might make it harder to take him out of the line-up.
I wonder what's up with Burrell too, is a trade in the works?
