Andruw Jones?

Is he worth picking up from the market? Someone dropped him today, and personally I'm surprised by his season, but still think he has potential kinda like Attkins and Figgins who have put on a clinic recently.

I would grab him, he can't continue to play as poorly as he has and is worth the gamble. Showed some signs of life tonight.

HAHAHA... just imagine someone in my league (its a best for worst positioned league) gave me Andruw Jones and he got Magglio Ordonez from me... I thought he woulda given me Shawn Green but I guess not... come on Andruw!!! Show some signs of life on MY Team!!!

As much as a gift that it seems it is.....it might to turn out to be one of your worst nightmares....Jones is the streakiest player I have ever had in fantasy baseball....actually there hasn't been much of a streak so far this year....it's all been bad...the Hrs and Rbis he has given me have come at a cost because his poor batting average kills that category 4 out of every 5 weeks and that might be generous...along with his poor batting average usually comes lack of runs. He will be a headache but I guess if it's a free agent move I would do the same and pick him up...then I wouldn't feel bad benching him.

Ya, I'd use a #1 waiver on him if he were dropped in almost any league. I don't expect him to hit much higher than .260 from here on out, but I think the HR's will be there - in a big way.

My feelings exactly....I just traded him for Oswalt....so he is bound to go on a torrid streak considering that this week I play the team I traded him to.

Andruw's regression in terms of BB/K is the likely culprit for a lot of his struggles. I believe he'll still have value, but expectations for a huge turnaround should be tempered.
