Hey my pick is up next in my keeper league. I am trying to decide who to take as my 9th round pick. I've narrowed it down to 2 players Nixon and Kendall.
It is a 5x5 league.
My team so far.
V Wells
J Vasquez
R Oswalt
J Kent
C Crawford
D Ortiz
J Rollins
M Ensburg
I would take Nixon. With Crawford and Rollins, you are REALLY going to be short HRs and RBIs, and Kendall doesn't do much for you in either category. If the catcher slection is already doen to Kendall, you could probably wait quite a few rounds and get someone just as good.
Also, take a flyer on back-up SS in the late rounds, I would be vey nervous if I had to play Rollins everyday--he is the ultimate one category player, and he really doesn't even get that many SBs.
Kendall doesn't do much. Nixon is DEATH against righties (granted, he's DEAD against lefties, but...) Nixon was 4th in the AL in OPS last year, and is still young and improving. Kendall hasn't done much for a few years, and you can wait a few rounds and get a comparable catcher, I'd think...

Yup, Nixon, Nixon, Nixon. Lots of guys at C who will come close to Kendall this year and his value is mostly in something youi cover already with your players.
