The Wikipedia Game

Postby JRM4833 » Tue Jun 26, 2007 12:44 pm

Saw this on another site and thought it was kind of cool . . . if you're absolutely bored out of your mind that is. It's basically 6 degrees of Kevin Bacon with a little wiki-spin. So for example, someone would suggest Barry Bonds -> Monica Lewinsky, and the answer would be:

Barry Bonds -> Perjury -> Bill Clinton -> Monica Lewinsky.

When someone gets it right, they ask another.

Jimi Hendrix -> International Atomic Energy Agency.

Jimi Hendrix -> Vietnam War -> Nobel Peace Prize -> International Atomic Energy Agency

There are usually some rules that go along with the game. Things like you can't use the Category listings or A-Z listings. Any of the text links that come before the References basically.

caterpillars -> fantasy baseball

Might have been a little cumbersome, but....

Jimi Hendrix > Star Spangled Banner > President of the United States of America > Dwight D. Eisenhower > "Atoms for Peace" > IAEA
If you're a battery, you're either working or you're dead....

Those rules sound good to me. Who would have gussed that there were 3 different ways to get from Jimi Hendrix to IAEA (see coppermine's post as well)? :b

Jimi Hendrix -> USA -> Nuclear weapons and the United States -> Nuclear proliferation > International Atomic Energy Agency

And damnit if I'm not beaten by my own game? Still trying to figure this one out, but so far you've stumped me.
