I myself will be taking a trip to Destin this coming up weekend. If your saying its looking like the bahama's that just gets me more pumped. But seriously if you wife is looking for fun in the sun with sand... Destin is an extremely nice place with good restaurants, entertainment, no crime, and beautiful scenery and they have two decent golf courses though i can't remember the names or the green fees. good luck on your search
