Here is a video of Hawk and DJ having absolutely no clue what they were talking about in the booth. The umpires called runner obstruction and got the call right, but Hawk and DJ, even though they had no clue what they were talking about, were so sure they were right. This video doesn't have all the comments, but this has alot of it. Not included is the part were Hawk says that "these Umpires need to go back to school". This is such classless, horrible announcing its pretty classic
They get made fun of on 670 all the time. They claim that Hawk makes their entire station look bad.

I don't understand how and why he is still the announcer. He is very annoying and I don't even watch the Sox games. Feel bad for ChiSox fans who have to hear him say "he gone" every time someone Ks. I cringe every time I hear it.

I can't stand Hawk either, but for whatever reason the Jays' announcer has a man-crush on him and every time the Chi-Sox come to town we have to hear how awesome Hawk is.
Well, that was a waste of 5+ minutes. No replay until the very end. I was starting to belive that the announcers were right and then saw the replay and wasn't swayed.
What the heck happened where there was obstruction?
My Friendliness bar...recently shrunk from 11.3 to 10mm long!!

Uribe crashed into Pagan when Pagan was rounding Second. It was right in the middle of the field, in perhaps the single most obvious place for the announcers to see. There's A) no excuse for them not to have seen it happen live, B) no excuse for the Sox' replay crew not to have shown them that part of the replay, C) no excuse for them to have kept their audience in the dark as to why that call was made and D) no excuse for the ignorant way they both went on and on about the situation.
Look at MLB.com for the real replay, or see if it's up on YouTube. It's clearly obstruction, and the Umps got it right.
These guys are the worst announcers out there and there really isn't a close 2nd. Sometimes they'll go almost 10 minutes without saying a word, and sadly that's the best part of the broadcast.
