Johnson's comments have not been very encouraging. In the past he has spoken confidently about his return from injuries but check out what he said today: "I don't know how much longer I can pitch with it," Johnson said. "So I'm going in with a positive frame of mind. I'll go as hard as I can as long as I can. When I was in New York, I pitched through a lot of discomfort."
This is starting to Piss me off, I have had to drop some decent people to get Johnson back off waivers. Is he back or what? I mean come on. He is supposed to start tommorrow right??? This is why I dropped him in the first place.

Well, don't let me throw you off. In fact I'm considering buying low on him. Here's what I read. It's speculative but not without cause for caution:
Randy Johnson (back) will come off the disabled list and face the Dodgers on Thursday. Johnson was cleared to go after experiencing no problems Tuesday following Monday's simulated game. "Today was a big day," he said. "I didn't feel that bad, relatively speaking. It's nothing that I haven't felt already -- last year when I was pitching or earlier this year." Johnson is fine to activate in fantasy leagues for tomorrow's start, but it sounds like he might need another stint on the DL in order to get through the rest of the season. "I don't know how much longer I can pitch with it," Johnson said. "So I'm going in with a positive frame of mind. I'll go as hard as I can as long as I can. When I was in New York, I pitched through a lot of discomfort."

What in the hell do you need him for? It's obvious you are in a shallow or dumb league (I don't mean that to be mean) or it's a good keeper team. You're team is stacked with 1st and 2nd round picks. When will you ever have the urge to start Randy Johnson over the other pitchers you have?
Well lets see, I start 7 pitchers, so Halladay, Lackey, Saito, Putz are must starts. Kazmir and Felix are iffy every start out, I am about to drop Clemens for Cain, Bush, or Meche. Gallardo is headed to the pen supposedly, Harden is a big panzy, and you never know about Myers. So when Johnson is good to go he is about my #3 or 4 starter. It is a points league that is heavy on innings and K's so Johnson usually scores at least 15 if he loses or no decisions and 25 if he wins, that is better than many starters out there. So yeah I am worried about Johnson. It is a 10 team non keeper.

I'd rather have Randy Johnson over Felix, Kazmir, Bush or Meche
He many not get you 8 innings every game but he will make up for it in tons of strikeouts and he won't "F" your ERA and Whip with the more often then not shelling.
