Nice signing, now how about a starter since Lieber's most likely out for the year. Can't keep relying on these minor leaguers.

Thats a very nice pickup, we were in desperate need of a lefty.

And i think when Myers comes off the DL he will be put back in the starter role because of the injuries we got. Then Flash will be closer again *sigh*

not a chance. theres no way myers can condition himself to go out and throw 100 pitches in the middle of the season and coming off a semi serious injury. hes going back into the closer's role with flash setting him up. its now up to the phillies management to get a back end starter ala mike maroth (the cards got him for free!) or someone of the sort.

Yea Flash is better suited in the set up role.

But damn we are gonna have 2 rookies in our pitching rotation for the time being until we can get a starter. I wouldnt be surprised to see Madson have to start some games, hes done it before even though he has been alot better when relieving.

3 rookies (kendrick, happ, durbin) and madson is staying in the bullpen too. hes better suited there and is needed there. chollie already said he wouldnt consider that move either.
