Reports comig out that the Tigers have traded Mike Maroth to the Cards for a currently unknown return

Given Maroth's career and injury history I can't imagine they got much.

I imagine their 5-man rotation is Bonderman, Verlander, Rogers, Robertson, Durbin/Miller.

Imaginary convesation in the Tiger locker room:

"Hey Mike Maroth got traded to the Cardinals."
"EXCELLENT TRADE!! Who did we get?"

Frankly I wouldn't be surprised if this trade is for mid-level prospects, cash and/or consideratons. The Cards know the Tigers just needed to get him off the books. With this and the Ledezma move, they have the flexibility to get the bullpen help they need.

at least until Robertson comes back...then he either goes to the minors or Durbin to the pen (more likely IMO)
