People in the same league are trying to defend this trade, but I think it is totally unfair.

I don't like it at all but it really depends on who the 2 players are that the (new) Manny owner could pick up.

In a standard 12team 5x5 I would have to say probably yes... your trading a great hitter for a slightly less hitter(who's slumping badly to boot), and your throwing in a very very good pitcher.(nl cy young last year) Okajima is most likely a moot point throw in because there are probably plenty of other quality MR on waivers. I would ask him for his logic in making this trade, and if he doesn't have some sort of reasonable response it would get a veto as being likely collusion. This does depend on league format, but unless your playing something really wacky, or playing a keeper that could skew the value of a player beyond his performance, I can't see this as being a legit trade.
