Through my various posting experience, I have realized 10 and 12 team leagues are basically all there is on the cafe. 12 seems like it would be cool.. but believe me, 14 is perfect. U can get 2-3 marquee players, but still have to use ur knowledge to uncover the sleepers and use ur judgment to weed out the busts. We play 14 team, 25 man roster, 20 reserves, weekly trans. thats 45 players a team.. wow.. 630! No wonder our drafts take like 8 hours.

We have a fantastic 14 team 5x5 keeper league with 25 in the active roster, 8 bench and 7 farm system spots (farm system salaries don't appreciate). It makes my life better.

Playing in a 20-team mixed league with 35 players per roster this year. Also play in a 10 team, NL only league with 40 man rosters. The old formula for roto ball is using at least 85% of the available players. . . .

A bad three minutes at the auction can cost you three months worth of research!

I like playing in a deep mixed league. It is more attractive to me than a NL or AL only league. But, it is indeed difficult to find enough committed owners to make your league deep and challenging.

My league is 14-team, too. I have the same opinion as you. Good balance between superstars, stars, and average players on each team (with 2 exceptions in our league -- one super team and one head scratcher).
