According to Conor Nicholl, of Royals.MLB.com, Kansas City Royals P Luke Hochevar is an option to replace SP Scott Elarton (foot) in the starting rotation.
This guy was the number one overall pick in 2006. If he's called up, is he worth a look in a deep league?

Possibly, but remember this is the Royals. Greinke was a highly touted prospect as well and look what happened to him. I think you have to wait and see before adding him.

As a KC fan, I can tell you that Luke has no shot of seeing the bigs this year. It looks as though they're gonna give Buckner a shot in Elarton's spot.

Only 3 HR and a .143 ISO from a first baseman in 118 AAA PA so far? Nice AVG but he's looking an awful lot like James Loney right now.
