Have any of you heard if Chipper could go back to playing third base this year with Castilla being gone? Is that a possibility? My friend has kept Chipper the last two years for this sole purpose.

agreed, they wouldnt not have moved him for vinny castilla if they thought he could man the position. id love to see it, but i think he'll stay in left field

Right.....Chipper won't be going back to 3b, can't even see it happen for an inning at this point

i wish he would move back because i have him and i think he would be ranked in the top 5 3rd baseman imo.

I seem to hear this speculation of Chipper going back to 3B a lot these days. I agree with everyone else here, he won't move back to 3B. I won't say it's not possible, if the right situation arises, but it is doubtful. Whoever plays 3B this season is just keeping the spot warm for Andy Marte in 2005.
