How many players per team??

Last year we used the standard Yahoo. 21 players.

1 starter at each pos. including 3 gen. OF's
1 util.

Then like 2 SP 2 RP and 3P I think.

Anyway. how many players per team should we have?

I have 10 teams in the league.
I figured to just do 21 again.

Any advice?

we had 10 teams and 23 players and the WW was saturated with talent. This year we've added 2 more teams and left the players at 23.

I'm happy with the way yahoo sets it up.Maybe a couple tweeks here and there.

I am in 2 keeper leagues. We use 25 players in 1 and 30 in the other. I really love having 30 players on a roster. It gives you alot more flexability.

we use 25 active, 20 reserves, so 45 total on the roster. So much depth.

our keeper league has only 9 members and we go with 28 active, 10 bench, and 10 in minors. again, lots of flexibility

I use a 10 team NL-only league, with the standard 23 man roster.

14 Hitters, 9 pitchers.

It is absolutely great.

This year I'm also entering a 12 team mixed league, with the same roster. I really don't like mixed league usually because there is way too much talent available, but we shall see how it goes this year.

I am amazed at the number of leagues mentioned that have an odd number of players. Using the standard serpentine draft order this gives an unfair advantage to the first teams drafting.

Team one picks players first and last every two rounds. But in an odd number of picks, for example 21, team one picks first in the 21st round while the last team picks last without the balancing out first pick in the following round.

Well, my league drafts five reserves as well, which brings the total to a nice round 28. I wouldn't change the 23 man starting roster for any reason. It is the perfect number.
