John Lackey/Jered Weaver to miss next starts

Postby angelsfan56 » Thu Jun 21, 2007 12:12 pm

John lacky will be missing his Saturday start (Thursday is an off day)

Jered Weaver (Who was scheduled to throw Friday) is not going to be pitching and saunders will come up for a spot start.

Heard this on Angels live so these are facts

Is Lackey being skipped or just bumped a day?

Both Lacky and Jered Weaver will be missing the starts and i think Weaver is his lower back he came out early in ST. Louis over his back. I was at the game that lacky pitched in against the Astros and he didnt appear hurt he left because of high pitch count. I do remember hearing something on Angels live about why he will miss his start but i forgot when i find out ill let you guys know

Lackey has a (tired) shoulder. A little sore. Will miss his next start. Read it in the Riverside Press Enterprise yesterday. Hope that helps.

Lacky has shoulder tendinitis and weaver is out most likeyly due to stiffness in his back

Actually, the stiff back thing was a week or two ago. The current problem is apparently a jammed shoulder suffered while running the bases against the Dodgers last weekend. According to Weaver it isn't a major concern, and Scosica has said that both he and Lackey will start next week against KC but the order hasn't been decided.
